The fourth developed 4”x5” film negative from the “Us & Them” Photo shoots in the Zapatista Caracols (compounds) of Chiapas Mexico.
This photo was shot with the “Us & Them” Camera in the Zapatista Caracol La Garrucha.
This is Hilda and her son.
On September 26, 2014, 43 male students from the Ayotzinapa Rural Teachers’ College were on a bus heading to Mexico City when their bus was intercepted by Mexican Police in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico.
The 43 students disappeared without a trace.
Hilda’s son is one of the 43.
There are many stories and theory’s of what happed to the 43. Most involve the Mexican police and Military, and it is quite evident that there is a government cover up.
Hilda just wants to know where her son is.
She traveled with us from Caracol to Caracol, held up her banner with sons photo on it, and emotionally spoke to the massive crowds about her son and the pain of not knowing.
For three years Hilda has traveled with her banner, speaking at any opportunity available.
Hilda is a wonderful, kind, sweet, strong woman.
She is the physical and spiritual example of “A mothers love.”
A deep loving human and mother, that just wants to know.
